The original cape cod style home purchase by the developer had already established the acceptable footprint on the site only allowing a 50% square footage increase for new work. The existing home was demolished allowing the new design to utilize and adjust the additional foundation within the accepted zoning footprint. The new coastal farmhouse celebrates the contemporary vernacular while adding some unique features for the developer to stand apart from similar homes on the market.

The views we’re the focus of the design strategy, making sure the majority of the spaces within the home had a framed view or opportunity to see the water throughout the year.
The design resisted a stacked plan, allowing for spaces both on the exterior and interior to interact and create intimate unique moments around the home and within the roof line.
The arrangement of the windows and doors not only providing views but create a seamless transition between the interior and exterior space giving the home a more spacious and airy experience.
