Hunt River Guest House
As the main house started to take shape the homeowners began to expand the scope to included a garage, as the garage began to take shape the scope of this project increased as well. Our clients requested a place for guests to stay for the weekend, for the grandkids to get out of the sun, some room for some exercise space and equipment and a place to make some smoothies.

Alignment
The garage was located toward the bottom of the slope of the site allowing for the guest house to be positioned on top creating a relationship of scale to the main house, while concealing the garage from the pool area view.
Perspective
The position of the guest house to the main house was dependent on two different axis; the alignment of the doors between the two structures and the perspectival space between them in both directions framing the views of the old pasture and surrounding tree line.
