The vision for Launch all started on a family vacation. When the co-founders Rob & Erin Arnold were on a family trip in Orlando Florida, when the rainy weather sought them to seek out indoor activities. After visiting an indoor trampoline park, the duo knew this business model was unlike anything they had in their home state of Rhode Island. After months of research and vetting different trampoline parks, Rob and Erin knew they could do it better, leading them to create Launch.
Making the vision of the park a reality for this new typology of indoor amusement was where Lacuna Design entered the conversation. Working closely with local building authorities and using outside the box thinking in regards to spatial configurations and code restrictions the prototype Launch Trampoline Park opened in 2012 in Warwick, Rhode Island, and the second location followed soon after in Hartford, Connecticut, with both experiencing tremendous success. The office was able to use the first two parks as precedents moving forward into other locations. In 2019 we were fortunate to be part of the development of the expanded idea integrating bowling, bar services and multilevel attractions and new configurations which would become the new flagship for the rapidly growing franchise business model
