The client contacted Lacuna Design for help with the existing plans he was given by the developer at Millenium Tower in Boston. Luckily this was prior to the construction of the building. The plans were reworked to create a better circulation flow, as well as contributing to the design of the space. We incorporated the use of a sweeping curved wall which brings one from the entry door through the suite to the living and kitchen areas. The curve continues in the ceiling bringing a curved soffit with recessed lighting highlighting the geometry.
The new fireplace in the living room with its surrounding mill-work and stonework begin to shape the material palette of the suite. Lacuna Design also redesigned all of the bedroom and closet layouts to better utilize the floor area of the suite. The scope of the project extended into the Master bedroom with the design of custom cabinetry and a master bed design.
